Health Component (CBR-Health)
Support aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs):
Sponsorship of assistive devices (wheelchairs, hearing aids, crutches, prosthetics, white canes)
Funding for medical rehabilitation services (physiotherapy, audiology, speech therapy)
Support for corrective surgeries and specialized treatments
Mobile/outreach community health screening programs
Mental health and psychosocial support services
EDUCATION COMPONENT (CBR – Education)
Promoting inclusive and equitable education:
Scholarships and bursaries for learners with disabilities
Provision of inclusive learning materials (Braille books, large print, audio resources)
Sponsorship of teacher training in inclusive education
Support for special and inclusive schools’ infrastructure
Digital accessibility tools (screen readers, tablets, adaptive software)
Enhancing independence and economic inclusion:
Funding for vocational training programs (tailoring, ICT, carpentry, etc.)
Start-up grants and microcredit schemes for PWD entrepreneurs
Job placement and internship sponsorship programs
Support for cooperatives and small-scale enterprises for PWDs

SOCIAL INCLUSION (CBR – Social)
Promoting dignity, participation, and social protection:
Sponsorship of accessible housing modifications (ramps, rails, accessible toilets)
Support for sports and recreation programs for PWDs
Community awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and discrimination
Marriage, family, and social integration support initiatives
Assistive technology for communication (e.g., sign language tools, AAC devices)
EMPOWERMENT & RIGHTS (CBR – Empowerment)
Strengthening advocacy, rights protection, and participation:
Funding for legal aid and rights enforcement services
Capacity building for Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs)
Advocacy and policy engagement programs
Leadership and governance training for PWDs
Sponsorship of data collection and disability research initiatives
Critical for compliance with disability laws and inclusion:
Construction of ramps, accessible toilets, and pathways in public buildings
Retrofitting government offices for accessibility compliance
Support for accessible transportation initiatives
ICT accessibility (websites, digital platforms compliant with accessibility standards)
INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING OF DRC
To improve the operational capacity of the Commission:
Office remodeling and accessible infrastructure
Vehicles for monitoring and enforcement activities

Sponsorship of outreach and enforcement operations
EMERGENCY & HUMANITARIAN SUPPORT
Targeting vulnerable PWDs in crisis situations:

Support for internally displaced persons (PWDs), even in IDP camps.
